Celebrating the anniversary of our founding: A day of hope, solidarity, and commitment

On November 14, we marked the anniversary of our founding, a moment that reflected our mission and core values of hope, service, and justice. The event, coinciding with the birthday of our founder, Father Pedro Arrupe, became a day of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the future.

The celebration began with a warm welcome to our friends, partners, and collaborators who have supported us over the years. A commemorative video was shared, bringing back memories of the early steps of this mission and showcasing the transformation of Father Arrupe’s vision into a global organization that assists thousands of people in need around the world.

The Country Director shared her thoughts on the local impact achieved and emphasized the importance of collaboration with our partners. She praised the dedication of our team, who work tirelessly every day to empower our friends by providing not just support but also hope for a brighter future.

One of the most moving moments of the day was the screening of a video sharing the personal stories of some of our friends. These narratives were a powerful testament to the strength of commitment and collaboration in transforming lives. Following this, Sami Nuri shared his inspiring journey toward empowerment and personal growth, a living example of the impact of this mission.

A significant part of the event was the presentation of certificates of appreciation to our partners and donors, who have been a cornerstone in advancing this mission. Among them were recognized organizations and institutions that have continuously offered their support.

The event concluded with a reflective message that reiterated our mission: to serve with love, empower through opportunities, and build hope for those displaced from their homes. Participants were then invited to a festive cocktail gathering, fostering an atmosphere of unity and solidarity.
