“Like Cover Models”: The Women’s Experience at the Makeup Workshop

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we organized a special workshop for women, providing a space where they could learn basic makeup techniques from a professional artist while celebrating their shared strength.

More than just a lesson in beauty

The activity began with a demonstration of professional techniques, followed by a hands-on session where participants practiced on themselves under the guidance of the makeup artist. However, the atmosphere suggested that this was about much more than just cosmetics. It was a moment for these women to care for themselves, feel valued, and share a space filled with positive energy and smiles.

A journey of transformation

For many participants, the workshop became a meaningful and inspiring experience. Oksana shared how this meeting opened a new window into the world of makeup for her: “It wasn’t just interesting, it was a true revelation for me. I rarely used makeup before, only lipstick. But now I’m eager to explore new makeup possibilities and secrets, and a huge thank you to the JRS team for that!”

Olga described the workshop as a moment of joy and inspiration, where she could experiment with makeup and enjoy the creative energy around her: “We immersed ourselves in the energy of femininity, care, and charm.”

Even those with an artistic background found the process fascinating. Lyudmila noted the “magic” behind the professional tools and the confidence the final results provided: “Oddly enough, I attended a makeup master class for the first time in my life. As an artist, it was interesting for me to see what a huge collection of brushes the makeup artist had. In her hands, they became magical tools for transformation. Some of her recommendations were useful to me and my colleagues. And most importantly, we got a great result: each of us looked like a model from the cover of a fashion magazine.”

Inspiration through learning

The enthusiasm in the room was contagious, leaving a lasting impression on the professional leading the session. Edita, the makeup artist, expressed her gratitude for the group’s energy: “Their dedication, interest, and willingness to learn left a very positive impression on me and made this training even more meaningful. It was inspiring to see how much motivation and positivity they brought throughout the training.”

The glow from within

This workshop was a beautiful reminder that a woman’s beauty lies not only in her outward appearance but in her strength, sensitivity, courage, and the light she brings into the world. At JRS, we celebrate every woman for who she is, what she represents, and the profound impact she has on the lives of others.
