An interactive session on our work, migration, and a personal experience at ILG School

We had the pleasure of visiting International Learning Group (ILG) School and conducting a session with 4th grade students, where we discussed the topic of migration and the work we do every day to support refugees and other people on the move.

During the session, we explored different aspects of migration, including the reasons why people are forced to leave their countries, the challenges they face during their journeys and integration process, as well as the importance of creating inclusive and supportive host communities. The students were highly engaged, actively participating by asking questions and sharing their thoughts, which made the discussion even more dynamic and meaningful.

To make the session even more interactive, we also organized a Kahoot quiz, where students tested their knowledge on the topics discussed. This activity brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm into the classroom and helped reinforce the key messages in a fun and engaging way.

A very meaningful part of the session was the participation of Oksana, a Ukrainian woman currently living in Kosovo. She shared her personal story, speaking about leaving her home country, the challenges of adapting to a new reality, and the way she has continued her life here. Her testimony provided a powerful human perspective for the students.

Such sessions are important as they foster empathy, understanding, and respect for different life experiences. Through education, open dialogue, and interactive activities, students are given the opportunity to develop a broader awareness of the world around them and the challenges faced by people on the move.
