Together for the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees
15 October 2026
On the occasion of the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, we gathered at our office together with our friends to mark this day through a warm gathering filled with special moments.
In an open and friendly atmosphere, we shared traditional Albanian food and spent time talking, exchanging ideas and experiences, and enjoying each other’s company. Beyond the food, the gathering was an opportunity to come closer, listen to one another, and create space for natural conversations and meaningful moments together.
Sitting around the same table, we shared not only food, but also stories, thoughts, and smiles. Moments like these remind us that community is also built through simple things: a conversation, a shared meal, an idea exchanged, or simply time spent together.
The World Day of Migrants and Refugees is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of welcome, inclusion, and creating spaces where every person feels respected, heard, and part of the community. For people who have left their homes behind and started a new life, connections with the community and a sense of belonging are especially important.

At JRS Kosovo, we believe that accompaniment goes beyond providing support. It also means being there for people, listening to them, creating opportunities to meet, and building relationships based on respect and understanding.
Our gathering was a beautiful reminder of how much a shared moment can bring. Through food, conversations, ideas, and laughter, we created a space where different cultures and experiences came together naturally.
We thank everyone who joined us for this gathering and shared this special moment with us. We will continue to create spaces for meeting, conversation, and exchange, while standing alongside refugees and other displaced persons and contributing to strengthening connections and a sense of belonging within the community.
